Have you ever been to the theatre? People go to the theatre to see dancing, to hear musical instruments and singing, and to see actors perform in movies and plays. In today’s project, we are going to be making a stage and an audience for a theatre. We’ll build a stage for the show to be performed on, and build lots of seats for your toys to come and see it. We suggest you invite all your favourite toys to come and watch the theatre production.  You can put on all kinds of shows in this great paper theatre. What kind of show will you put on today? This project is extra fun when combined with the Pritt “Princess Theatre” paper-crafting kit for kids. It is one of many great Pritt arts and craft sets that you can find in a store near you!

  • Print out the attached documents

  • A handy Pritt Stick
  • Scissors

Step 1

First we cut out all the theatre and audience images from the printed-out crafting templates.

Step 2

Glue the 2 halves of the field together, which are the big green areas with flowers on it. Hint: there should be a big grey circle in the centre of the field when you’re done.

Step 3

Fold images 1, 2 and 3 along the dotted lines, as seen in the picture. These are going to make the grandstands that the audience will sit in when watching the theatre. Once you have folded along all the dotted lines, you can use your handy Pritt glue stick to glue each flap into place, as seen in the picture.

Step 4

Glue image 1 into place on the field in position “a.” Glue image 2 into place on the field in position “b.” Glue image 3 into place on the field in position “c.”

Step 5

Fold image 4 into a triangular shape as seen in the picture.  This is theatre audience. We bet they’ll love to see the show today!

You can also watch the crafting video, which will show how to make this project.

And that's it!

We hope you have lots of fun with your theatre.

We would love to see pictures of your theatre. You can ask your mum or dad to post pictures on our Facebook wall at “Prittworld”.
