An ideal gift for parents and relatives

A great idea for Mother's day or birthdays – but not only then. You can always impress your mum or dad with a lovingly designed badge. Choose some nice patterned paper and a fitting decoration. Then you can get started.

  • extra thick transparent paper
  • photo paper
  • heart button, glitter stones or petals for decoration
  • 1 brooch pin
  • Pritt Magic Stick
  • Pritt PVA Craft Glue

  • scissors

For parents/adults:

Cut out the strips necessary; children shouldn't need any help with folding etc.

Step 1

You will need a long strip of transparent paper for the badge. It should be about 4 cm wide and 35 cm long. Fold the strip like a concertina in equal sections.

Step 2

Then carefully glue the thin ends of the strip into a circle with the Pritt Magic Stick.

Step 3

Cut out a circle from the coloured craft paper. Put a good spot of glue in the middle. Put the concertina circle on top and press it down slowly in the middle onto the glue. Hold it

Step 4

Cut out another circle from the coloured craft paper. You can write on it or decorate it with glitter stones, a petal or a pretty button. Stick it all onto the top side of the badge.

Step 5

Finally, glue the brooch pin on the back with Pritt PVA Craft Glue.

Tips and tricks:

If you want the badge to have a neat edge, you will have to push the end of the concertina tightly together and cut it into a neat point.
