Western style door sign
You don't want to be disturbed by your irritating brothers and sisters or annoying parents? Then you need the right door sign. It tells everyone if they are welcome in your room and can enter at no danger or whether they should get out of there quickly.
- photo paper, various colours
- 1 brass fastener
- joggle eyes
- Pritt Original Stick
- Pritt No More Scissors tape
- felt tip pens
Make sure that the brass fastener on the back of the door sign is covered with a piece of adhesive tape. It stops the door from getting scratched.
Print out all of the templates for the door sign.
First, trace the outline of the sign onto photo paper. Then carefully cut out the outline and the mouth. Make a small hole where the marking is. Carefully use the point of a pair of scissors to make the hole in the photo paper.
Then trace the template of the wheel onto photo paper. Cut it out and also make a small hole where the marking is. Three areas are also marked on the wheel. You can write your messages on them with felt tip pens.
For example: "No entry", "Keep out", "Please do not disturb", "Stop" or "Welcome", "Next please". You are sure to have some good message ideas.
Then attach the wheel and the sign with the brass fastener. Place the fastener through both holes and fold it out on the other side and secure it with a strip of adhesive tape.
Your door sign is almost finished. All you need is to add the cowboy design. Trace the features onto photo paper and carefully cut them out. Stick them on with the Pritt Stick.
You can also add features in felt tip. Finally, all you have to do is glue on the joggle eyes.
Then just turn the wheel to show the right message and hang the door sign outside your room.
Tips and tricks:
This is where you can start to vary things. The basic shape of the door sign is universal. Superman, football star or your favourite musician - you can find lots of ideas in magazines. Simply just cut out the figure and stick it onto the basic shape. But make sure that the hanger and message sections are still visible.
